M’Baku: New King of Wakanda?

With T’Challa and Shuri out of the picture after the events of Infinity War, Wakanda is going to need a new king. M’Baku being the new king of Wakanda wouldn’t be too far fetched. I’m going to give my brief thoughts on why M’baku could be the current king of Wakanda and how it could be a potential plot for Black Panther 2.

At the end of Infinity War, Thanos snapped his fingers and wiped away half the universe which took both T’Challa and Shuri. M’Baku doesn’t see eye to eye with T’Challa and after what happened in Infinity War it’ll just prove his point that T’Challa wasn’t worthy enough to rule Wakanda. M’Baku stepping up to be king after the events of Infinity War would most likely happen because he was able to go toe to toe with T’Challa, showed that he could be a powerful leader with his tribe, and he respects the history of Wakanda. So, what does this mean for Black Panther 2? Here’s how.

Endgame takes place 5 years after the events of Infinity War and Wakanda most likely has a new ruler within these 5 years. M’Baku being the new king and making Wakanda in his vision or how Wakanda should be, would be the most likely choice the director would go. T’Challa wouldn’t go back to where everything once was, so thinking he would come back to rule would cause conflict between the two. The people of Wakanda might choose sides again because after T’Challa let the heroes came to their land, bringing war, and causing destruction, this would be used against him.

I could see the plot being almost similar to the first movie but it’ll be interesting to see if T’Challa actually agrees with M’Baku being king and leaves Wakanda to do other things. But what about Namor being the potential villain for Black Panther 2? Well I believe that’s a story for another time.
