Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales #1 is a tie-in comic for the event Absolute carnage. The comic starts with Ganke and Miles hanging out in the city and they see The Scorpion up to no good. Miles changes into his costume and gets into a fight with Scorpion. To me, I thought the fight was funny because every time Miles was beating Scorpion he doesn’t give up.
The fight has come to a halt between Miles and Scorpion because Carnage’s horde is here. The horde is after Scorpion because he was once Venom and they’re trying to convert him. Miles trying to help Scorpion backfires because since the horde has no use for him, they’re willing to kill him instead. While fighting the horde, Miles recognized the spiral symbol on their faces, and it’s from the time he and Venom teamed up to fight Knull. Struggling to fight the horde, Scorpion betrays Miles so he can run away and Miles comes face to face with Carnage!
Carnage tries to get Scorpion, but Miles attacks him from behind. Venom comes into the scene to save Scorpion from Carnage capturing him, but Miles stays back to fight. The horde overwhelms Miles, and he’s fighting back as hard as he can, but it wasn’t enough. Miles gets captured, and it looks like there is no hope for our hero.
Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales #1 was a fun read, but I had a problem with it. I wanted the comic picked up after the first issue of Absolute Carnage because the plot was the same halfway through. I hope the direction for the next two issues doesn’t go the same route. Overall, the comic was still a fun read, and I would recommend it.
