Well, this was unexpected. The writers of the Game of Thrones tv show, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, will not work on the new Star Wars trilogy. Here is what the duo had to Deadline :
“There are only so many hours in the day, and we felt we could not do justice to both Star Warsand our Netflix projects,” the GOT pair said in a statement to Deadline. “So we are regretfully stepping away.”

Honestly, this is good news. After how disappointing the writing was for GoT and their recent Q&A, the duo leaving is the best option, especially since they have too much negative stigma following them. I’m pretty happy with the news because when they were announced to take on a new Star Wars trilogy, I was pretty annoyed. Curious to see who will do the new trilogy now.
