Top 3 Marvel Comics I’m Looking Forward To In 2020

Thor

Thor will be written by Donny Cates and the art by Nic Klein. Donny Cates is the writer of Venom, Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Silver Surfer: Black. I love Donny Cates style of writing and can’t wait to see what he’ll do with Thor.

Here’s the summary for Thor #1:

The prince is now a king. All Asgard lies before Thor, the God of Thunder. And after many months of war, the Ten Realms are finally at peace. But the skies above the Realm Eternal are never clear for long. The Black Winter is coming. And the God of the Storm will be powerless before it.

Guardians Of The Galaxy

Guardians Of The Galaxy will be written by Al Ewing and art by Juann Cabal. Al Ewing is the writer of Immortal Hulk and Valkyrie: Jane Foster. Al Ewing gives off an old school feel when it comes to his storytelling, which I enjoy.

Here’s the summary for Guardians Of The Galaxy #1:

Once, they were a team of misfits. Now they’re a family, and they’ve earned their peace. But the universe is not a peaceful place — and it’s only getting worse. The Great Empires are in turmoil. The rule of law is dead. And amidst the chaos, the Gods of Olympus have returned — harbingers of a new age of war, reborn to burn their mark on the stars themselves. Someone has to guard the galaxy – but who will accept the mission? And will they survive it?

X-Men/Fantastic Four

X-men/Fantastic Four will be written by Chip Zdarsky and art by Terry & Rachel Dodson. This is my most anticipated comic series! Chip Zdarsky is the writer of Daredevil, Invaders, and Spider-Man: Life Story. Chip Zdarsky is a damn good writer, and when I read his comics, I’m always left wanting for more. Also, the tease from House of X #1 where Cyclops said Franklin Richards has family in Krakoa, I just knew something great would happen one day.

Here’s the summary for X-Men/Fantastic Four:

As teased in House of X #1, the four-issue X-Men/Fantastic Four title will explore how the broader Marvel U takes to this revitalized and re-organized mutantkind – specifically dealing with Fantastic Four’s Franklin Richards, considered one of the most powerful mutants of all time.
