The Mandalorian Chapter 5: The Gun Slinger was a pretty good episode. The Mandalorian had to land on Tatooine after a bounty hunter attacked him and damaged his ship. The Mandalorian meets Peli Motto (played by Amy Sedaris) and wants to get his ship fixed, but he doesn’t have enough money. The Mandalorian goes into a bar to look for a job, and that’s where he encounters Toro Calican (played by Jake Cannavale), who asks for the Mandalorian’s assistance on a bounty.
I honestly didn’t think we would see Tatooine again, it was interesting to see what the planet would look like after Return of the Jedi. Fennec Shand is a mercenary and was played by Ming-Na Wen. Ming-Na Wen was badass, and it’s just too bad that this was her only episode. I thought Toro was an ok character. I felt like it was too obvious what Toro was going to do towards the end. Also, I like Peli Motto, and I would like to see the character return.
I enjoyed this episode, but I felt like something was missing. Also, curious to see how the set up towards the end of the episode is going to play out.
