At the red carpet premiere for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Kathleen Kennedy said they’re not done with the Skywalkers, and I’m not surprised one bit.
Here’s what Kathleen Kennedy said:
I have to say it’s a mixture of emotions, I have to say because we’ve had such an incredible time. It’s just flown by these five years and doing these three movies and to realize that we’re completing the saga and we’re not finishing the Skywalkers necessarily, they could always in one way or another reappear but for right now it is bringing it to a close.
I’m fine with this. The Skywalkers are a huge part of Star Wars, so this was a no brainer. I hope they take their time bringing the Skywalkers back and focus on more creative stories to expand the Star Wars lore. I’m sure when they return, it’ll be special.
