The Skywalker Saga has finally come to an end, but did J.J. Abrams gave us a satisfying conclusion with The Rise of Skywalker? Hell yeah he did.
Let’s talk about what I like about the movie. The story didn’t feel all over the place and was straight to the point. Kylo Ren has great character development and is the best thing in this movie. The dynamic between Rey and Kylo Ren was written good and enjoyed every moment when they were on screen together. Carrie Fisher was handled well and felt like the heart of this film. Also, this film was action-packed, which made me feel like a kid in a candy store. The ending doesn’t disappoint and was done the best way possible.
Now let’s talk about what I didn’t like. The length of the film was a problem for me, and I wished it was longer so certain parts of the story could be fleshed out more! A lot of things happen in this film incredibly fast and not letting you digest. The film does try to find a way to fix what has happened in The Last Jedi, which kind of made the first half of the film suffer. Those are the only problems I have for this movie.
Overall, The Rise of Skywalker was great! The movie looked gorgeous and left me stunned. The music from John Williams was superb as always and made me feel all fuzzy inside. The cast all did a great job, especially Adam Driver. J.J. Abrams did the best what he could do with the story, because The Last Jedi did go left field which made this movie try to find its footing. Highly recommend watching this film, especially if you’re a Star Wars fan.
