The New York Times interviewed Ben Affleck, and he explains why he left The Batman.
Here is what Affleck had to say:
I drank relatively normally for a long time. What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart. This was 2015, 2016. My drinking, of course, created more marital problems
He continues:
I showed somebody The Batman script.They said, ‘I think the script is good. I also think you’ll drink yourself to death if you go through what you just went though again.
I’m happy Ben Affleck decided to take a step back and focus on himself. Affleck was a great Batman, but your wellbeing should always come first. Maybe we will see him back as the Caped Crusader in the future. I hope Affleck continues to do well.
