‘Blood Hunters: Rise of the Hybrids’ Spoiler-Free Review

Blood Hunters: Rise of the Hybrids was very interesting.

The short film was written and directed by Vincent Soberano. The movie follows a woman named Gabriella (played by Sarah Chang) who’s seeking revenge after seeing the person she loves get killed by an aswang. Gabriella teams up with a monster hunter group called Slayers to stop the Monster Queen from creating more aswang hybrids.

Let’s start with what bothered me with this film, the acting. There were many times in the film where I thought the acting was a bit rough and made me cringe. Also, the lines in the film weren’t bad, but the execution could’ve been better. Other than that, I enjoyed the film.

I liked the story concept for this film and was getting really into it. The action in the film was done well and was getting me pumped! I hope that there is a sequel for Blood Hunters: Rise of the Hybrids because I would 100% be down to watch it. If you want to watch a fun flick then I definitely recommend watching Blood Hunters: Rise of the Hybrids.

Blood Hunters: Rise of the Hybrids will be available on digital platforms (Amazon, Vimeo on Demand, FlixFling, Vudu, Fandango) March 17!
