Being a comic book movie fan has been pretty rough so far in 2020, and now it’s confirmed that Black Widow does not have a release date because of the coronavirus.
Here’s what Deadline had to say:
In the wake of the two biggest movie chains, AMC and Regal, shutting down for possibly close to two months, Disney reports today that their prized summer starter, Marvel’s Black Widow, is delayed until further notice. The Scarlett Johansson movie was scheduled to go day and date around the world on May 1.
What now? We honestly don’t know how long movie theaters will be closed about the pandemic, but maybe Disney can try something different. Disney should release Black Widow on Disney+ or even sell it digitally for maybe 20-25 bucks. At this rate, films going straight to digital in 2020 is the best option.
