While doing an interview with LADBible, Andy Serkis has hinted that The Batman will be the darkest Batman yet!
I think that this is the right direction to go. When I think of the story of Batman, I think of dark, raw, gritty, and dirty. The Batman being dark will bring more life into the film, but just because the film is going to be dark doesn’t mean that the film will be perfect. As long as the story fits with this darker tone, then I’m all up for it. Also, I wouldn’t give the film a pass if this is an excuse to make Batman kill people since that’s not what he’s about. I know Matt Reeves will not disappoint at all with this film.
