‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Review!

Season 2 of The Mandalorian has finished, and it was perfect! When it comes to the story, I believe that this one of the best Star Wars storytelling I’ve ever experienced. I’m a big fan of Star Wars, but The Mandalorian season 2 has made me fall in love with the franchise all over again.

Each episode of the season was both amazingly written and directed. The character development for Din Djarin in this season was so good. Din went from being a bounty hunter getting the job done and believing the strict code of the Mandalorians to being a great man who will stop at nothing to protect The Child aka Grogu. I loved every moment Din and Grogu had with each other, especially how excited Din got when he calls out Grogu’s name and responds.

Moff Gideon is such a fun villain in this series. I love how already analyze a whole plan and know what’s going to happen. The scene where he tricked Din to take Grogu even caught me off guard. Also, the way he fought with the dark saber was badass. I hope we get to see more of the character in season 3.

The characters that appeared on this show were done incredibly well. Seeing Bo-Katan, Ashoka, Boba Fett, and even Luke Skywalker made me so happy! What I loved about how they were written into the show is that they didn’t overshadow Din’s journey when it came to Grogu, all of them had a purpose to push the story forward. This was fan service done right, and I really appreciated it. Also, seeing Fennec Shand and Cara Dune back was badass, especially when they teamed up with Bo-Katan and Koska Reeves.

This season looked fantastic. Almost every episode looked like a movie, especially during the first episode of the season where Din had to stop the Krayt Dragon on Tatooine. You can tell that Disney put in a lot of budget into this season. If this is what the season has to offer, then I can not wait for season 3.

What I also love about the season it brings up new questions that need to be answered. Is Ashoka going to find Thrawn and reveal the fate of Ezra? Will Din accepts being the ruler of the Mandalorians? Do Grogu and Din reunite? What is Boba Fett going to do after taking over Jabba’s Throne? All this is very exciting!

Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and everyone involved with creating this show ha done an incredible job. I have nothing but praise, and this is the happiest I’ve been a Star Wars fan. I’m excited for the next season and the new show The Book of Boba Fett.
