CW’s ‘Green Arrow and The Canaries’ Canceled!

If you were looking forward to watching CW’s Green Arrow and The Canaries, well I got some bad news because the series has officially been canceled.

Here’s what Deadline said:

The CW is officially not moving forward with Green Arrow and the Canaries, its planned spinoff from long-running superhero series Arrow. Green Arrow and The Canaries aired as an episode of Arrow‘s final season in January. The other outstanding CW planted spinoff, The 100 prequel, which aired as part of the survival drama’s final season, remains in contention. The options on the casts of both offshoots expired last year.

I was not expecting Green Arrow and The Canaries to be canceled. The series didn’t even have a premiere date other than it was in the works. Too bad the series was canceled because I was looking forward to it.
