We got the official confirmation that Danny Elfman will be teaming up with Sam Rami once again for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness! If you don’t know who Elfman is, he is the man behind the music for Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man 2 (2004). This wouldn’t be the first time he worked with the MCU because he’s done music for Age of Ultron!
Here’s what Collider said:
The legendary Danny Elfman revealed during an interview with Inverse that he will be composing the score for Doctor Strange 2, which makes a lot of sense given that the director of the Marvel sequel is Elfman’s frequent collaborator Sam Raimi. The two first worked together on the underrated superhero film Darkman before Elfman provided the iconic score for Raimi’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. A falling out led to Elfman exiting Spider-Man 3, but he returned for Raimi’s most recent feature film Oz the Great and Powerful.
Hearing this news made me super excited. Having Rami and Elfman team up again for another superhero film is iconic. Doctor Strange 2 is on its way to being the best MCU film at this rate.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will release on March 25, 2022.
