After the incredible first season of Jujustu Kaisen, TOHO has announced that MAPPA will be working on a Jujustu Kaisen movie! The film will be adapting Volume 0, which is a prequel story that follows Yuta Okkutsu who goes to Jujutsu High to learn and confront the cursed spirit Rika.

Finding out that Volume 0 was going to be the Jujustu Kaisen movie made me incredibly happy! Yuta Okkutsu is my favorite character in Jujustu Kaisen, so seeing that his story is getting a film and not an episode or two is amazing. MAPPA already did an amazing job with the anime so I know the budget is going to be CRAZY!!! Another thing, yes this movie is canon, and Yuta is playing an important role currently in the manga, so don’t skip it.
Jujustu Kaisen movie will release in Japan this winter.
