Sony Has A New Name For Their Marvel Universe

Well, right after dropping the best trailer of 2021, Sony decided to announce their new Marvel universe. At first, their Marvel universe was called “Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters,” but now it’s “Sony’s Spider-Man Universe”! It was obvious this will happen eventually.

With Spider-Man: No Way Home being the last Spider-Man film in the MCU for awhile, and Peter Parker crossing other dimensions, it’s safe to assume wherever he ends up will be in Venom’s universe and every other Spider-Man characters that Sony are trying to make films for. Am I going to miss Tom Holland’s Spidey interact with the rest of the Marvel characters from the MCU? Of course I will, but I think the fact we’ve seen him even team up with the Avengers is one of the biggest highlights as a Spider-Man fan.

As long as Sony does good stuff with Holland’s Spider-Man then I’ll be perfectly fine, and I don’t want to see some bullshit like what they did to Sam Rami’s or Marc Webb’s Spider-Men films. Fans are vocal, and they will let Sony know if their films are bad once he leaves the MCU, so the pressure is on. I guess I can look forward to Spider-Man vs Venom again, but this time the right way.,
