Welp, I guess the Sony news just continue to keep on rolling today. Apparently Venom: Let There Be Carnage will not be releasing in October and will be pushed back to January, which means that it’ll be replacing Morbius as well.
I’m curious why would Sony delay the film again? My thoughts could be the rise of COVID cases that’s hitting us like a dry Popeye’s biscuit stuck in our throats or because they’re trying to wait for Spider-Man: No Way Home to release so they can focus on all their Marvel projects going forward. Honestly, it could be a bit of both.
No official announcement has come from Sony yet, but Vulture‘s sources regarding the pushback seems like it will happen for sure. It does suck that the film is being pushed back for the trillionth time along with Morbius, but it’s not much we can do.
