Damn damn damn….DAMN!!! The Russo Brothers (Anthony and Joe) negotiations to direct another Marvel film has apparently come to an halt because of the Scarlett Johansson’s dispute with Disney.
From The Wall Street Journal, here’s what their article said:
Since the lawsuit, brothers Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, directors of Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame,” the highest-grossing movie of all time, hit an impasse in negotiations to direct another Marvel movie. The Johansson dispute left them unsure how their next movie would be distributed and how they would be paid, according to people familiar with the matter. The Russos declined to comment.
It’s understandable situation honestly. Seeing how it messed with ScarJo’s bag when it came to Black Widow, and other films that had to be released in both Disney+ and theaters dealing with the same problem, I’m not surprised about the Russo brothers being hesitant to make another film under Disney. All we can do is wait and see how Disney will go about things going forward because it’s becoming a bad look.
