Well, the trailer for Sony’s live-action Uncharted film has dropped, and I actually don’t hate it.
Here’s the trailer for the film:

Let’s be honest, it could’ve been worse, plus it looks visually great. Also, interesting idea to basically have a mix of all four games to make this story. It’s going to be awhile until I’m used to Tom Holland being Nathan Drake but I have faith in him judging from the trailer. Mark Wahlberg is literally playing Mark Wahlberg, so I don’t even know why he got casted as Sully. I just don’t want this film to be bad because as a fan of the Uncharted franchise for years I’m not trying to get my feelings hurt.
Here’s the synopsis for Uncharted:

Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time, Uncharted introduces audiences to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). In an action-adventure epic that spans the globe, the two go in dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother.
Uncharted is set to release in theaters on February 18 2022.
