Disney/Marvel’s Eternals, which is set to keep the fall box office rally going, is looking at a global opening of $150 million, a number that’s poised to best the $128M worldwide start of Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings back in early September, and emulate the $150M filed by Black Widow, which had a Disney+ Premiere day-and-date component in select markets including the U.S.
This is great for Eternals and hopefully shows this gives the characters from the film a sequel/spin-offs regardless of the reviews, I mean hell look at Thor 2. Again, awesome news…until the No Way Home hype train comes and shatters records.

Chloé Zhao directs the film, and Kevin Feige and Nate Moore are the producers, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Kevin de la Noy serving as executive producers. The screen story is by Ryan Firpo & Kaz Firpo, and the screenplay is by Chloé Zhao and Chloé Zhao & Patrick Burleigh and Ryan Firpo & Kaz Firpo.
