Man, it sucks to see people you grew up admiring leave the planet. The legendary comic book artist Neal Adams has passed away.

From THR, here’s what they reported:

Neal Adams, the legendary comic book artist who reinvigorated Batman and other superheroes with his photorealistic stylings and championed the rights of creators, has died. He was 80.

Adams died Thursday in New York of complications from sepsis, his wife, Marilyn Adams, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Neal Adams was involved with so many stories and characters, such as Superman vs. Muhammad Ali, help create Raʼs al Ghu, change the tone of Batman, and more. I’ve grew up seeing his works in comics, and I know his influence will continue to live on. It’s definitely a sad day in the comic book world.
