Well, it’s an end of an era. After nine years, CW’s The Flash will finally come to an end with its ninth season which is set to return in 2023 with 13 episodes.
Read what THR reported:
The CW on Monday announced that its Grant Gustin-led DC Comics superhero drama from Warner Bros. TV and Greg Berlanti Productions will end with a 13-episode final run. The conclusion of one of the network’s most watched shows will air in 2023 as part of its midseason roster. Production on the final season will begin next month.
It’s crazy to think that The Flash is the longest running series from the Arrowverse. I was a fan of the series when it first aired, but dropped it after some of the series’ writing decisions. One thing is for sure, these characters are beloved and it made it to nine seasons for a reason. Hopefully the series goes out with a bang because it deserves it.
