Setsu Ito Will Attend Anime NYC!

 Anime NYC Powered By Crunchyroll today announced the latest addition to its 2022 guest roster – Japanese voice actor Setsuo Ito, most known for voicing Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama in the anime series Mob Psycho 100Setsuo Ito is presented at Anime NYC by Crunchyroll and WB Japan, and season three of the acclaimed series is now airing in over 200 countries and territories around the world on Crunchyroll.

Anime NYC, celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, will run from November 18-20, 2022 at New York’s Javits Center (655 W 34th St. at 11th Ave), and brings over 50,000 passionate fans together with leading creators and companies from the heart of the Japanese entertainment world. This year’s participating companies include Aniplex, Bandai Namco, Crunchyroll, GKIDS, HIDIVE, Kodansha, VIZ Media, and Yen Press.

The Mob Psycho 100 anime is based on a Japanese comic of the same name by creator ONE, which was published from 2012 to 2017. It tells the story of a powerful school-age psychic who unlocks a great power when his emotions surge and the world of enemies, evil spirits, and mysterious organizations surrounding him. It has over 1.2 million copies in print and won a Shogakukan Manga Award in 2017. Mob Psycho 100s anime adaptation began in 2016 and has received tremendous acclaim from fans, critics, and media in both the US and Japan: Mob Psycho 100 was a Jury Recommended Work at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2017, and Anime News Network, IGN, and Polygon, among others, have all named Mob Psycho 100 as one of the best anime of the 2010s. Season Three of Mob Psycho 100 began airing on October 5 this year.

Mob Psycho 100’s cast is led by voice actor Setsuo Ito, who won the Best New Actor Award at the 2017 Seiyuu Awards for his role of Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama. He will appear on an official Mob Psycho 100 panel presented by Crunchyroll and WB Japan and sign autographs for fans.
