This is something that hurts me. Apparently, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake might actually not be a thing anymore. This news came from Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb during from Game Mess Mornings show, and at this rate, I’m just giving up at this rate.
Here’s the quote from Jeff Grubb:
I just want to clear it up, this game is not being worked on right now. Just a full stop. This game is not being worked on in any way, at any studio.
Man, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is basically cursed. The game was first announced back in 2021, then the development went to a complete halt in 2022, and now the comment about “not being worked at any studio,” all I feel I pain.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, made by BioWare and released in 2003, is one of my favorite games. A remake of this game was something I’ve always wanted. The writing was amazing, the gameplay was something else, and so much more, it was ahead of its time. Oh well, I guess it was never meant to be.
